Independence.
This is a topic that is close to my heart.
Why you may ask? Maybe it's because I've been through a lot. Maybe it's because of my ever independent streak. Maybe it's because I'm no longer a little girl.
What Is Independence To Me?
It's waking up in the morning. Being happy. Knowing that your life belongs to You.
That nobody gets to say what and who you have to be on that day. That you are your own goddarn boss.
Why Is It So Important?
Because sometimes in life, people seem to think, for no logical reason at all, that they own you. As long as they don't pay your bills, don't feed you and don't help you put on your clothes in the morning, I think it's time for them to take a chill-pill and mind their own business and their own lives. Even your parents set you free at some point.
