Paris, I Love You

Updated: Aug 18, 2023

Life is about growing up. Looking at things you used to love from a fresh perspective.

When I was 16, ask me what my favorite place in the world was, and I would have said Paris. Because it was a place that helped me to dream bigger. It was noisier, bigger and grander than my home town. I'd never seen a place like that in my life.

I'm someone who has always loved cities. And now that I'm a little older, I've noticed a shift in my values. A shift in the things I appreciate about life, or a city, or a person. I look at the small things now. Like what are the people like? Who can I connect with? How does this place help me to find a bit of myself?

I used to like superficial things about Paris, but now I love the fact that I have grown out of a bit of the illusion. The illusion of the grand buildings, and all the boulevards, but instead, look at those smaller things.

To me, that is the beauty of a city like Paris. You can get completely lost in its scale or busy-ness, but you can also have so many little hidden treasures to discover. Quiet places where it feels like you are the only one that knows about it.

What are some things that you love about Paris? Feel free to share below...

Love,

N.A.F.
